Your No-Risk General Surgery
The GS certifying exam has never been easy. And now, judging by the falling pass rates, it seems it’s getting harder every year GS Certifying Examination
Before I tell you about your ‘exam secret weapon’ I want to give you an idea why passing your certifying exam the first time is so important. In a survey, The New York Medical Staff Leadership Council found that 91.6% of general surgeons reported having been sued for medical malpractice. And do you know the first question that the plaintiff’s attorney asks if you’re ever being deposed or are testifying? It is, “Doctor, are you board-certified?” and if you are, the second question is, “On which attempt did you pass your exam?” Of course, it’s the plaintiff’s attorney’s job to try to discredit you in any way he or she can. It’s ugly – very ugly. But it is the reality. Given this state of affairs, I want to provide you with a resource that is intense, effective and affordable – your guaranteed secret weapon. I’d like to invite you to The Pass Machine GS Certifying Exam Prep Course. This 4-day course takes the uncertainties of the certifying exam and gives you three simple steps to address them. Prepare With Massive Focused Action with 1. Home Study Materials: Immediately upon registration, we ship you a special edition of Dr. Sarmad Aji’s book “Safe Answers for the American Board of Surgery Certifying Exam,” an indispensable resource to get you started on exam preparation right away. 2. First-Day Course Bootcamp: “Secrets of Certifying Board Exam Success": The live course takes place September 21-24, 2011 in Chicago and kicks off with the bootcamp day. We interviewed dozens of ex-examiners and recent exam-takers to learn what it really takes to pass this exam and what mistakes are commonly made. Then we selected experienced, tough board-certified General Surgeons who train you on the first course day in exam success and mistake-avoidance tactics. 3. Three Days of Mock-Exam Practice: From morning until evening you attend realistic mock-exam training. You view, then practice many dozens of exam-style vignettes. With your course registration, you receive two mock-exams of 45 minutes each (30 minutes for Q&A and 15 minutes for examiner feedback). All The Way To Pass Guarantee If you attend The Pass Machine Certifying Exam Prep Course and do not pass your exam the very first time, then you can attend the course until you do pass. Of course, I don’t expect you’ll need this guarantee, but like a good insurance policy, it’s good to know it’s there. How much will this course set you back? The course tuition is $997. It includes all three course components, the “All-The-Way-To-Pass” guarantee and 31.25 Cat 1 CME hours. It’s up to you to decide if this level of preparation is worth it to you. In my view, given the risks involved in not passing and the amount of preparation and guidance you receive with the course, I think it is a very worthwhile deal. Don’t Delay – Spots Are Limited The only negative of this course I can think of is that we have limited space. That means not everyone interested will be able to attend. Registration is first-come, first-served. If you call and the course is sold out, you have the option of being placed on a waiting list. So, if you wish to attend, please don’t delay. So why not join us for the General Surgery Certifying Prep Course taking place in Chicago on September 21-24, 2011? Prepare in the company of colleagues, under expert faculty guidance. You won’t regret joining us. Take care and all the best on your exams Jack Krasuski, MD Executive Director PS: If you can’t attend the live course but want a high level of preparation and guidance, click here to read about our GS Certifying Exam Home Study Course Version.
