No fellowship required — just your clinical experience and a passing score.

You’re Here Because You Need To Pass The Addiction Medicine Boards

Not eventually. Not after a retake.

On the first try.

And you don’t have 20 hours a week to “maybe” get it right. You’ve got patients, charts, family, a life. And exactly zero time to waste on the wrong prep strategy.

Maybe this is your first board exam in years and you’re nervous.

Maybe you’ve tried a different course and still feel unprepared.

Or maybe you just want to be done with this and move forward in your career with more confidence, more respect, and yes, more money.

Whatever brought you here, you made the right move.

Now let us help you make the next one:

Prep smarter, pass faster, and do it on the first try.

Instead of scrambling

What if you had a study plan built around your real schedule?

What if you knew exactly what to focus on, and what to skip?

What if you could feel fully prepared for the boards without putting your whole life on hold?

That kind of confidence? It’s not a stretch. It’s the result of having the right structure, the right content, and the right kind of support.

“The lectures come in various media formats including a mobile app which turned out to be a great way to take the course on the go! I listened to the videos, read the pdf lectures, did the questions and repeated the missed questions until I got mostly right. And I passed!”

— Seung Kim, MD, Raleigh, NC

“I just found out that I passed the American Board of Addiction Medicine exam, and feel that the American Physician Institute course can take the credit for this. Once again, it offered a concise, time-efficient way to study for the exam, and in the most palatable format possible!”

— Heidi Klingbeil, MD, South Orange, NJ

“The API course was a very valuable time saving and organizing tool to review a large volume of material. In my case, I allotted less time than ideal to this review. Had I not had the API materials, I would not have been able to manage the volume. Very well organized course. I passed.”

— Daniela Samoil, MD, Lake Oswego, OR

Finally feel confident walking into the exam. You’re prepared.

First of all I would like to thank you for arranging this Medical Oncology Board Review Course. It was very precise and extremely full of information. It is also very applicable to our daily practice following the new standard guidelines.

Sapna R. Patel, MD

I completed all of the online lectures prior to this live course which greatly improved my experience with the live course compared to previous live courses. I think that the more I do the more I will retain and improve my likelihood of passing.

Jack Saux, MD

It’s a nice “comprehensive review” as any other CME, but I would rate it # 1 among others. In order to stand out as a “pass machine” tool you would need to saturate the content to high yield info in order to be focused on the best.

Boris Darovsky

Faculty was well-prepared and experts in their field. Presentations were laser (curated?) toward board-related material.

Robert Ellis, MD

Vancouver, WA

Excellent Medical Oncology Board Review Course. Definitely helped me getting a great score. Highly recommend it

I enrolled in the American physician Institute course through something I got in the mail. When I saw a 97 percent pass rate, I thought that it would be silly not to enroll. This course allows you to focus your studying rather than be completely overwhelmed by the amount of material. This was so much better and easier than sitting through lectures for 8 hours through a George Washington or M.D. Anderson course. We all know that your attention span cannot hold for that long. A great thing about this course, is I could do it on weekends and for 15 min - 2 hour blocks, or even do it when I had patient cancellations. You can stream it through the Internet, and the website was never down. Not only was I able to easily pass the exam, I did learn a decent amount that was helpful for patient care. I did some studying outside of this course, through personal files I have written over the years, but this course gave me most of the information I needed to pass. None of the instructors had unintelligible accents, and they all focus on clinically relevant material. They do not go off on tangents about their personal research. And that really helps.

Vinni Juneja, MD

San Juan, PR

I obtained the course materials for self-study in September for the October exam last year, having found out about the course a few weeks earlier. I felt unprepared and a little panicked for the exam at that point, using only the ASCO SEP book and the relatively few questions in that text. I was able to access The Pass Machine materials/videos online, and using the written text in the binder, I was able to review all the topics in a relatively short time and concentrate on the areas I felt weaker in. The format allowed me to review the materials even over short periods of free time at work and I worked full-time until the test. The questions on the online tests were extremely helpful and written in a similar format to the Board questions. I went into the exam feeling confident as a result of my study with The Pass Machine materials and the results showed that not only did I pass the exam, but I was able to score in the highest percentile in more than half the topics. I am indebted to The Pass Machine course for helping me pass my recertification Oncology Boards.

Vijay Kasturi, MD

Worcester, MA

I'm happy to report that I passed my Medical Oncology MOC exam. As an academic medical oncologist, I specialize in the treatment of one cancer and so the prospect of reviewing for a test encompassing all solid tumors (with a healthy sprinkling of hematology) was daunting. However, your course was excellent and helped me review for the test in a relatively short period of time. I highly recommend your review course for anyone registered for a MOC exam, and it's the best money that I've spent in a long time.

Jow Baar, MD, PhD

I felt this was an easy and convenient way to study. The program hit highlights. The course provided tests and questions. I was able to pass and I only used this program. I owe my success to this course!

Thank you for your great program. I thought the materials were very focused and clear. I also appreciated the question-focused approach, which is particularly relevant to the medical oncology recertification exam. Your method of communicating and frequent feedback was also very helpful. I ordered the program late, but was able to go through it intently. Great results! I would recommend this program without reservation to anyone who is taking the exam. Thanks again

Easy to follow. Built for busy days.

“I found this course to be very comprehensive. Watching the videos, doing the question blocks, and then having the syllabus for review was helpful during my board prep. The videos are also the perfect length of time.”

— Jasmine Shell, MD, Augusta, GA

Passed with confidence. Learned more than expected.

“I received my addiction medicine exam results from ABPM today, and I just want to let you know that I passed. I want to thank you and the faculty. Without your program, I wouldn’t have been able to do [it]. I actually learned more from the lectures, aside from preparation for the exam.”

— Michael Solomon, MD, Atlanta, GA

Indispensable for board prep. Great for staying sharp clinically.

“The best courses out there for the board exams. Indispensable when preparing for the boards and/or keeping up with your knowledge base.”

— Thomas Henry, MD, Aiea, HI

Couldn’t have passed without it. Wholeheartedly recommend.

“I am so grateful for API and Dr. Jack! The Addiction Medicine board prep course was fantastic. I could not have passed the exam without it. I would recommend API to anyone who is preparing for the Addiction Medicine board exam!”

— Radhika Chimata, MD, Downers Grove, IL

Felt like the real exam. Highly recommend.

“The course was very helpful for me to excel on the Addiction Medicine Board Exam. The question bank and the explanations were significantly close to the style of the Board questions. I highly recommend this course for everyone preparing for this Board exam.”

— Samir Rizk, MD, Knoxville, TN

Fantastic prep. Great for certification or clinical care.

“Fantastic course! I recommend this course to anyone interested in becoming certified in Addiction Medicine. It is useful even if you don’t plan on getting certified but have an interest in helping patients with substance use disorders.”

— Randolph Baca, MD, Albuquerque, NM

Passed on the first try. Better than ASAM.

“API was an excellent choice for board exam review. I took the April 2021 Osteopathic Addiction Medicine Board Exam and passed with a slight margin. The videos were much better quality, and the slides were easier to review than ASAM’s board review videos. Thank you, API, for helping me to pass my board exam on the first try.”

— Christine Kuo, DO, Roseville, CA

Used daily. Paid off. Excellent prep tool.

“I think everything about this course was very helpful to me. The video lectures the PDF notes, but even most importantly, I think the test questions which I used for the last few weeks daily before my board exam I think, really prepared my mind to get ready for the format of the test and I think all in all that this is an excellent aboard preparation tool. Thank you so much.”

— Joel Nunley, MD, Tulsa, OK

On behalf of my good friend and Co-Course Director Charlie Cote, I would like to welcome and congratulate you on choosing The Pass Machine lecture course as the venue to study for the examination in pediatric anesthesia or to brush up on pediatric anesthesia. We recruited five specialist pediatric anesthesiologists to round out our team, and the topics we cover were selected from the ABA pediatric anesthesia board topics that you will be tested on. By signing up for this course you have availed yourself of the guarantee by Dr. Krasuski, Founder of the American Physician Institute, who designed this program. You should feel confident you signed up for the right course because the board’s pass rate for the subspecialty pediatric anesthesiology exam was 79% while those who took this course in preparation for the exam had a pass rate of 98%. And with that, I welcome you once again to the course and wish you great success.
