Julie Scott Taylor, MD, MSc – Course Director

Julie Scott Taylor, MD, MSc, is a board-certified academic family physician with expertise in medical education and international maternal-child health. She has been on the faculty at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University since 2001 where she sees patients in a residency-faculty clinical practice. Currently an Adjunct Professor, at Brown, she previously served as the Family Medicine Clerkship Director, the Director of Predoctoral Education in Family Medicine, and the Director of Clinical Curriculum for the medical school. She is the former Chief Academic Officer and Senior Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, an international medical school, and Past President of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, a worldwide physician organization. She has been the Principal Investigator for several educational grants, received multiple teaching awards, and authored more than 135 publications.
