The “QBL” Method
Optimized for Learning
Comprehensive Question Bank: Included with this course are 500+ Infectious Disease multiple-choice questions (MCQ). Each question carefully follows the ABIM® board exam content outline and format, allowing you to test your exam preparedness while advancing your command of the exam content.
Realistic Test Environment: Your patients test you every day – but not in the same way the ABIM® Infectious Disease boards test you! You’ll prepare by taking practice tests in a format that’s just like the actual exam.
The “QBL” Method: “Question-Based Learning” ensures that your review is 100% relevant to the ABIM® Infectious Disease exam. This proven method works by pairing multiple choice questions with related lectures, allowing you to review a topic before answering the corresponding question.
Optimized for Learning: Unlike other Q Bank MCQs, The Pass Machine Infectious Disease practice questions include detailed, referenced explanations. So you’re not only testing your knowledge of substance use disorders – you’re learning the “how” and “why” behind every question.

“I’m in downtown Chicago to highlight the anytime/anywhere/offline flexibility of The Pass Machine course. This Infectious Disease prep course features 48.5 hours of laser-focused lectures and a Q Bank with 500+ questions. But here’s the rub – all that great content will do you no good if you don’t get through it in time for the exam. Here are a few examples of the ease of preparing with The Pass Machine: 1) listen to audio lectures on the app as you commute to and from work, 2) answer a few MCQs on your lunch break, 3) watch video lectures as you work-out on the stair climber or exercise bike, and 4) when you know you’ll be on call without Wi-Fi or cellular signal, download lectures to your phone ahead of time. Works great on flights as well!
Here at American Physician Institute we’re dedicated to your board success. That’s why we offer you a better-than-money-back pass guarantee. We don’t succeed unless you succeed.”
Yours in board exam success,
Jack Krasuski, MD, Executive Director

American Board of Internal Medicine Covid-19 Update
This information is updated weekly. For the most current update, please visit the ABIM website.
Update September 9, 2020:
ABIM is offering additional test dates on 12/14/20 and 12/15/20 for physicians registered to take a subspecialty certification exam. Before heading to your appointment, please read more about what Pearson VUE is doing to ensure the safety of test takers.
Update July 10, 2020: Scheduled for an assessment?
ABIM is working with Pearson VUE to ensure your safety throughout your exam day. Learn more about what to expect at test centers by reading our updated FAQs.
To be admitted to the test center, Pearson VUE may ask if you live with or have had close contact with someone who has confirmed or suspected COVID-19. We recognize many physicians are on the front lines treating patients during the pandemic, and in doing so may have come in close contact with someone who has confirmed or suspected COVID-19. Rest assured that physicians (medical/healthcare professionals) who treat patients while both are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be admitted to the test center.
If you experience any issues being admitted to the test center on exam day, please call us at 1-800-441-ABIM (2246).
Update July 7, 2020: Update for IM Certification Exam Appointment Cancellations
Earlier today, some physicians received an automated email from ABIM reminding them to schedule their exam appointment. Our sincere apologies for any confusion that may have caused.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our lives in many ways. Unfortunately, capacity has decreased at all Pearson VUE test centers to maintain safety. As such, some appointments to take the Internal Medicine Certification Examination have been canceled and must be rescheduled.
If this applies to you, you should also receive this email, which clarifies important questions around why your appointment has been canceled and what your next steps are. If your exam is still scheduled in your Physician Portal, you have not been impacted.
If you need help or have any questions, please contact us at 1-800-441-ABIM (2246), Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET or at [email protected], and we’ll provide you with personalized assistance to walk through your options.
