Dr. Nayak is a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist providing advanced cardiovascular care through UT Health, San Antonio. He is Interim Chief of Cardiology and Tenured Professor of Medicine in the Long School of Medicine at University of Texas San Antonio, and Director of Electrophysiology at UT Health San Antonio and University Hospital. Previously, Dr. Nayak was Associate Director of Electrophysiology and Director of the Electrophysiology Fellowship Program at University of Chicago Medicine. He has a passion for education and has received several teaching awards and has extensive experience speaking. Dr. Nayak has numerous peer-reviewed publications, and his research interests include complex ablation, heart failure device therapy and transvenous lead extraction.
