Dr. Scott received the 2024 Excellence in Medical Education: Pediatrics Clerkship award at Weil Cornell. Her interests include medical education research to improve outcomes for hospitalized children by studying how the next generation of pediatricians is assessed. Dr. Scott participated in developing a national pediatric telemedicine curriculum for residents, and her current funded research is in development and validation of a real-time telemedicine assessment tool for pediatric resident competency.
Dr. Scott serves on several program and competency committees at Weill Cornell and on the Pediatric Medical Education and Student Evaluation committees. She completed her Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship at the New York-Presbyterian Columbia and Cornell University bi-campus program, earned her doctorate degree and Masters in Neuromusculoskeletal Sciences from the New York Institute of Technology – College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency at New York Medical College-Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, continuing as chief resident for an additional year receiving several teaching and clinical awards, including a national award for her research in pediatric telemedicine.
