Dr. Mjaanes currently serves as Director of Sports Medicine as well as Head Team Physician for Northwestern University where he is responsible for managing the University’s Sports Medicine, Performance Nutrition, and Sports Performance units. He has also served as a Medical Trainer for World Rugby, team physician for US Soccer and USA Rugby, Medical Director for Rush University’s Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic, and he sits on the Board of Directors for the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE).
Dr. Mjaanes earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, completed his pediatrics residency at Rush in Chicago and his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.
