“I’m in downtown Chicago to highlight the flexibility of The Pass Machine. We’ve optimized this course to be available anytime, anywhere — even offline. Now you can listen to audio lectures on the app as you commute to and from work, answer a few MCQs on your lunch break, or watch video lectures as you work-out on the stair climber or exercise bike. When you know you’ll be on call without Wi-Fi or cellular signal, download lectures to your phone ahead of time — great feature for flights as well! This flexibility is vital, because all the great content this course offers won’t do you much good if you don’t get through it in time for the board exam.
Triple Trust Guaranteed
Here at American Physician Institute we’re dedicated to your board success. That’s why we offer you a better-than-money-back pass guarantee. We don’t succeed unless you succeed.” Yours in board exam success, Jack Krasuski, MD, Executive Director [email protected]
Read What Your Colleagues Are Saying About This Course
"This course was laid out very well and did not have extraneous information like others out there. The question bank was harder than the version of the exam I took. I emailed multiple lecturers with questions throughout the year and all but one responded. The online format makes it easy to do on the go and doesn't burn vacation/CME time. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to certify/recertify in Cardiology above others (you will not be disappointed)."
Thomas Gaines, MD, New Orleans, LA
“I can honestly say that the only reason I passed the cardiology boards the last time I took them was because of The Pass Machine. The Pass Machine is the best board review course you can take. Unlike other courses,The Pass Machine is concise and only goes over what you really need to know for the boards. I previously took the Mayo Board Review course, which spent too much time reviewing things that were not needed for just taking the boards. I felt like this only made it harder to decide what was pertinent and what was not. The questions The Pass Machine gave to review were great for cardiology board preparation. I would highly recommend The Pass Machine as the only concise board review for the Cardiology boards.”
Jeffrey W. Bissing, DO, Shawnee Mission, KS
“I just received notification that I passed (with room to spare)! As an electrophysiologist, I needed to review general cardiology and thought your lecturers were on target and on content. I have already recommended your course to others planning to take the boards this fall.”
Raul Mintrani, MD, FACC, FHRS, Bay Harbor Islands, FL
“This course is excellent, as well as superior to any board review courses I’ve taken in the past! This course is driven to help you and guide you for the boards. Would highly recommend anyone to be part of this experience – you will never regret it.”
Orlando Almanza, MD, Miami, FL
“I’ve been to all the review courses through the years – ACCF, Mayo, Cleveland Clinic – and by far this was the best. The repetition and interdisciplinary approach to the program were excellent. All guideline-oriented - great job!”
Carl Thurmond, MD, Columbia, SC
“I was extremely pleased with the format of this course and the ability to review all lectures online over and over till mastered. The set of practice questions is designed for you to know exactly what the Boards expect from you. When you study from this course, your confidence and knowledge to pass is real. I recommend it highly.”

Cardiovascular Disease MOC Testimonials
“The Pass Machine was instrumental in preparing me for board recertification in the subspecialty of cardiology. I watched all the lectures at home on my iPad and PC. The boards require mastering of a large volume of material. I don't think that I would have passed the boards successfully without the help of The Pass Machine syllabus. Sample questions were also very helpful. The Pass Machine stands by their product by offering a refund if you are not successful in passing the boards. Thank you The Pass Machine. I will certainly use you again in 10 years.”
Bruce J. Kriegel, MD, FACC, Sharon, MA
“Your cardiovascular review course was excellent. I used my iPhone/iPad for the video lectures and questions. The speakers provided a great review of the pertinent points tested in the recertification exam. Also, the ability to access the information at any time via iPhone/ iPad made the review course a great learning tool in a busy private practice. The questions were relevant to the boards curriculum and the ability to receive a score analysis helped me focus on my study. I recently received the great news that I passed the recertification exam and I thank you for helping me reach my professional goals.”
Dan Deac, MD, FACC, West Palm Beach, FL
"The Pass Machine course was a very valuable time saving and organizing tool to review a large volume of material. In my case, I allotted less time then ideal to this review. Had I not had The Pass Machine materials, I would not have been able to manage the volume. Very well organized course. I passed."
Daniela Samoil, MD, FACC, Lake Oswego, OR
"I felt quite prepared after taking the review course. He brushed me up on topics that I don't encounter in my practice on a day-to-day basis, and also solidified my current practice management as up to date. I passed with flying colors!! Thanks for a great review course."
Judy Rippert, DO, Dover, DE
“I have personally told all my colleagues in town, the only reason I passed recertification was because of your course. It was a great overview as well. It streamlined the review process so I could do it, enjoy top notch lecturers, and fit it into a hectic private practice schedule.”
Nancy Cho, MD, Vero Beach, FL
“I just learned that I passed the Spring 2013 Cardiology Maintenance of Certification Examination. Your course was instrumental in passing the examination. The lectures and practice questions were very focused and exam-oriented and the overall course experience was excellent!”
Emmett B. Chapital JR., MD, MBA, FACC, FASNC, New Orleans, LA
"Excellent course, outstanding, super! Very well presented, I took the exam & passed, Thanks."
Mammen P. Zachariah, MD, Fort Lauderdale, FL
"This is a well organized course of basic cardiology topics guided for general cardiology practice as well as board recertification. The speakers in general do a very concise, organized presentation of their topics. I have recommended it to colleagues."
Walter Haught, MD, Huntsville, AL
"I watched the lectures over a 2-month period, taking a few notes and doing the practice exams along the way. The lectures are very focused and cover exactly what is needed to answer the exam questions with confidence. I highly recommend this course because it allows you to work at your own pace. I found it to be a much more effective way to review (and retain) material than trying to absorb the fast-paced barrage of information in a live course."
Brian Long, MD, Brentwood, TN
“The course was great! The info presented was pertinent to the board exam. I am on a 3rd time recert, and it’s the best board review I ever attended. Information is also very pertinent to daily practice of cardiology.”
Joseph Pedone, MD, Niceville, FL
“I would definitely recommend API for the Cardiology recertification, encompassed everything you should know.”
Joseph Pedone, MD, Niceville, FL
“Concise and to the point.”

The Pass Machine Cardiovascular Disease Board Review – Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions about The Pass Machine and American Physician Institute
Is The Pass Machine different from other board reviews?
Yes, in three main ways:
1. The Pass Machine board review is the most comprehensive option. More than just a Question Bank of practice questions, each course includes in-depth lectures in a familiar classroom setting presented by expert faculty. This means you get a topic-by-topic review of exactly what’s on the board exam in much greater detail than what you can get from Qbank answer explanations.
2. Because the physician’s schedule is typically a hectic one, The Pass Machine is optimized for on-the-go review. Components such as the audio-only lecture option, iOS and Andriod app for mobile review, and offline access capability, and a fully-illustrated board-mapped study guide make The Pass Machine review easy to incorporate at any point your daily routine.
3. The Triple Trust Guarantee not only gives you a full tuition refund if you don’t pass the exam the first time after taking the course, but it also gives you an extra 10% AND allows you continued access until you pass, for free. This unprecedented guarantee serves to assure you of the confidence we have that The Pass Machine content is exceptional.

Do you provide board review for other medical specialties?

Is it likely that my employer will cover my tuition?
Because all The Pass Machine courses are approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, it is likely that your tuition will be reimbursed. You may be surprised at how many residency and fellowship training programs, group practices, and other employers pay for or reimburse you for such Category 1 educational activities. After all, it’s in everyone’s best interests to have you board certified. It really pays to ask your training director, medical director or administrator if you are eligible because some training programs and employers do pay for board exam training. And, if you work for the Federal Government, American Physician Institute is a certified business in the CCR database and can accept government checks and credit cards.

Board Exam Results and The Triple Trust Guarantee
Is The Pass Machine Cardiovascular Disease review pass-guaranteed?
Yes, all full courses are pass-guaranteed, and backed by The Triple Trust Guarantee. At any time, you can view The Triple Trust Guarantee Terms & Conditions.
What does The Triple Trust Guarantee cover?
If you purchase an online course with “The Triple Trust Guarantee” and then do not pass your board exam, API will issue a 100% refund of your paid tuition *, plus an additional 10% payment. You’ll also continue to get online course access until you pass the exam, tuition-free. The guarantee expires in the event the exam for which this course is designed is no longer offered by the certifying board.
* Tuition is defined as the amount you paid for your base course, and does not include optional course add-ons, such as purchase of online access extensions, and/or the live course attendance option (where available). If any promotional items, such as gift cards, are included with your purchase, the value of that promotional item will be deducted from your tuition.
The Triple Trust Guarantee sounds too good to be true—is it for real?
Yes, it’s completely real. Rest assured, API has always honored its guarantees and always will. No other company does? The Triple Trust Guarantee is API’s way of demonstrating that it’s just as invested in your success as you are. After all, if you fail your board exam, API will pay a penalty. API will refund your course tuition in full, provide you with a bonus, and allow you continued access to the course tuition-free until you pass your exam for as long as the exam is offered by the certifying board. The guarantee ensures API doesn’t get paid for effort, only for passing results.
Does The Triple Trust Guarantee cover non-tuition course options and upgrades?
No. Course options and upgrades are non-tuition related. Therefore, these fees are not included in any guarantee-related refund payment made under the terms of The Triple Trust Guarantee.
What should I do if I don’t pass my board exam?
First, it’s important to remember that a non-passing result is not necessarily a reflection on your abilities as a physician. The way the ABIM tests you is not the same as the many ways you’re “tested” as a practicing physician. Check out this reassuring video from Dr. Jack - What To Do If You Fail Your Board Exam https://www.thepassmachine.com/video-what-to-do-fail-your-board-exam/
More to the point, American Physician Institute can work with you to help you get over this professional hurdle. Give us a call!
I didn’t pass my board exam. How do I activate my course guarantee?
To activate your guarantee, you must notify American Physician of your failure to pass your board exam and submit a copy of your exam notification and scores. To be eligible for the refund portion of the guarantee you must submit your documents within 45 days of the date of your exam fail notification. To notify American Physician and submit your documents, go to your course dashboard and click on the "Guarantee" tab. Complete the form and attach your exam notification and scores. You will receive an email confirmation of receipt and someone will contact you shortly.
