Dr. Aaron Greenblatt is a nationally recognized addiction medicine physician whose work has advanced evidence-based, equitable treatment for opioid use disorder across clinical, educational, and policy settings. As Associate Professor and Program Director at the University of Maryland, he leads large academic addiction treatment programs serving urban and rural populations, with expertise in opioid treatment programs, buprenorphine and methadone care, harm reduction, and telemedicine.
Dr. Greenblatt has pioneered innovative care models integrating addiction treatment with primary care, infectious disease, and psychiatry. His extensive NIH- and state-funded research, national teaching, and policy leadership have shaped modern addiction treatment delivery and workforce development.
