Dr. Norton is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine at Vanderbilt University. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama and then completed her pediatric residency and Allergy Immunology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She is the Founder and Director of the Pediatric Drug Allergy Clinic at Monroe Carrell Jr Children’s Hospital. She sees patients with asthma, immune and allergic conditions, but has focused primarily on drug and vaccine allergies over the last 8 years.
She has been heavily involved in medical education and briefly served as the Associate Program Director of the Allergy Immunology fellowship at Vanderbilt University as well as the Director of the allergy elective for the pediatric residency at Vanderbilt. She won an award for excellence in teaching in 2024. She is supported by the CDC as a Subject Matter Expert in vaccine adverse events and has contributed to National guidelines regarding the safe administration of the vaccination in adults and children. She is a member of the World Allergy Organization where she participates in international guidelines for drug hypersensitivity.
