After recruitment back to McLean, Dr. Forester served as the Medical Director of the Geriatric Neuropsychiatry Unit. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally on geriatric mental health. He is a reviewer for several psychiatry journals and has authored numerous medical journal articles, reviews, and chapters. He has received two NARSAD Young Investigator Awards to study geriatric depression and geriatric bipolar depression. Dr. Forester also serves as chair of the Undergraduate Medical Education subcommittee of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.
