Erica Loomis, MD, FACS

Dr. Erica Loomis is a trauma and critical care surgeon with a passion for acute care surgery. She serves as the Division Chair of Pediatric Surgery and Vice Chair of Practice for the Department of Surgery. In addition, Dr. Loomis serves in several hospital leadership positions including Associate Medical Director for the Mayo Midwest Admission Transfer Center in partnership with the Rochester Hospital command center. Dr. Loomis is an active leader in researching surgery and trauma outcomes. She earned the Jon A. van Heerden Award from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She enjoys spending time outside of the hospital with her family including her husband and four children.
