Dr. Gifty Kwakye is a double board-certified general and colorectal surgeon and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Michigan. Her clinical interests include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and complex colorectal surgery, and she is deeply engaged in surgical education and global health. She serves as Assistant Dean for Clinical Medical Education and helped establish the first colorectal surgery fellowship program in Ghana in partnership with the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.
