Dr. Kumar completed his pediatric residency at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India, and a Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology in 2013 at St John’s Medical College, Bangalore. He worked as a pediatric nephrologist at a tertiary care academic center in Abu Dhabi, UAE, before moving to the United States, then completed his pediatric residency at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, thereafter joining MetroHealth as pediatric hospitalist. He is a certified lactation consultant, has certification in medical quality, and is a Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Pediatric Advanced Life Support instructor.
Dr. Kumar has authored and coauthored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, and case reports, has served on the editorial board of two journals and as ad hoc manuscript reviewer for multiple journals. He is active in multiple quality improvement projects in the AAP’s Ohio Chapter and involved in resident education and teaching activities.
