Dr. Templeton has been involved in Hospice and Palliative medicine for ten years, serving as medical director for Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas for the last seven years. Prior to this, she completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Texas Tech University and has become board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is also a certificant from the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board. She received her Doctor of Osteopathy from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine in Columbus, Ohio in the Ohio Health system.
In addition to clinical care, Dr. Templeton serves as a physician consultant with Weatherbee Resources to assist hospices across the country with compliance, quality improvement and documentation review. In this role, she speaks nationally to educate hospices on the ever-changing hospice regulatory environment and works directly with legal counsel for hospices who are under investigation, such as from the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
