As a Firm Chief of Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Geriatrics Outpatient Practice and Associate Medical Director of Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Outpatient Practice, Dr. Rughwani is involved in managing clinical and academic operations including developing improved workflows and curriculum for the outpatient practice fellows. Dr. Rughwani is a member of Mount Sinai’s sub-committee for the evaluation of residency programs, and has received a number of educator awards. Dr. Rughwani also received an Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) award to develop and implement inter-professional team training at Coffey Geriatrics outpatient practice at the Martha Stewart Center of Living which has led to the doubling of their detection and management of falls.
