Dr. Reed Ayabe is a board-certified surgical oncologist and hepatopancreatobiliary surgeon who specializes in the surgical management of liver and pancreas cancers, including cholangiocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal liver metastases, pancreatic cancer, and neuroendocrine tumors. He has a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic approaches to these diseases and serves on the Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Ayabe completed general surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, and fellowship training in complex general surgical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
