Dr. Sheeler has served as an editor, and he has been published in numerous family medicine books and journals, including The Manual of Family Practice, Mayo Clinic’s Complete Guide for Family Physicians and Residents in Training, and Family Medicine: Principles and Practice. He is a former item writer, editor, and team leader for the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Sheeler is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and is a four-time recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Recognition Award at Mayo Medical School.
