Clinical Associate of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicinee University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences |
Dr Naaman’s areas of expertise include women’s health and cancer survivorship. She directs a breast cancer survivorship clinic which addresses all aspects of late and long term effects of cancer treatments including cardiometabolic health, bone disease, and menopause. Dr Naaman developed a CME-accredited Women’s Health curriculum, based out of the University of Chicago, which provides training and support to community physicians using a risk-based approach to breast, bone, heart and gynecological health for high risk populations. By educating community primary care providers to deliver state of the art care, the curriculum reduces barriers to care access. Dr. Naaman serves on the advisory board of two NCI funded trials aimed at improving delivery of genetic services to high risk childhood cancer survivors and increasing colorectal cancer screening rates among PCP’s. Her research in cancer survivorship has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
