Dr. Ryan is a board-certified pediatrician also trained and certified in the subspecialties of Adolescent as well as Addiction Medicine. Dr. Ryan practices as an academic pediatrician and specialist, seeing adolescents and young adults with complex medical conditions, teaching pediatric residents and medical students in an academic center, and doing research in the areas of substance use and abuse in adolescents.

Dr. Ryan’s expertise and experience have been nationally recognized by Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine professional organizations, and she’s received a number of excellence in education awards including the Penn State Hershey’s Department of Pediatrics Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2021) and Top Educator Award for several years running.
